Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 269,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 269, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. W. Lee, via Communication
No. 756, dated June 7, 2012, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-255,
Schedule 3 (25 mile per hour limit), subsection(g)(29), Puna, by revising an existing item 29
and adds a new item and renumbered as required: "(29) South Kulani Road, from Volcano
Road to the property line between parcels 1-8-086:026 and 1-8-086:27." and"( ) South
Kulani Road, from a point three hundred feet northwest of bridge adjacent to parcels
1-7-011:002 and 1-8-086:003 to its southeastern terminus."
The amendments are necessary to revise the speed limits along this section of South Kulani
Road.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 269, and recommends its passage on first reading.
