Kurohara, dated May 30, 2012, stating that their department will be presenting the findings of the Hawai`i County Food Self - Sufficiency Baseline Study 2012. This study_ was one of the recommended County actions listed in the 2010 County of Hawai`i Agriculture Development Plan and approved by the County Council in 2011. It provides a benchmark to show us where Hawai`i County is in food self - sufficiency and what resources we have to apply to the task of producing more food locally. Last year, Hawai`i Harvest collected and delivered over 6,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables. They would like to share some information regarding their group.
