The monies will be used to enhance victim notification, restitution collection, and victim safety planning by funding six positions along with fringe benefits, operational supplies and travel. Enclosed is a resolution for Council's authorization to receive and expend state funding for victim assistance efforts on the Island of Hawaii. Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the operating budget by appropriating these funds into the Justice Reinvestment Initiative account.
