SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
SECTION 24-276 - ALII DRIVE — NEW CROSSWALK
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10 (Schedules), Division 4
(Pedestrians), Section 24-276, Schedule 24 (Crosswalks), subsection (f) Kona be
amended by adding new item and renumbering as required:
( ) ALII DRIVE, ADJACENT TO PARCEL 7-5-019:044 AND THE PROPERTY
LINE BETWEEN PARCELS 7-5-019:003 AND 7-5-021:039.
This amendment was generated due to a request to mark a crosswalk in an area where
there is high pedestrian activity. The findings of the Traffic Division's Pedestrian and
Traffic Volume Study indicates that a signed and marked crosswalk is warranted in the
subject area.
A location map is attached for your reference.
