40J�tV}s h, ii <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII ' STATE OF HAWAII <br /> BILL NO. 281 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 4 OF THE HAWAII <br /> COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO CROSSWALKS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure was generated due to a request to mark a <br /> crosswalk in an area where there is high pedestrian activity. The findings of the Traffic Division's <br /> Pedestrian and Traffic Volume Study indicates that a signed and marked crosswalk is warranted in <br /> the subject area. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 4, Section 24-276, Schedule 24. <br /> Crosswalks, subsection (f), Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as amended), is amended by <br /> adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br /> ( ) Ali`i Drive, adjacent to parcel 7-5-019:044 and the property line between <br /> parcels 7-5-019:003 and 7-5-021:039. <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br /> underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br /> underscoring need not be included. <br /> SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br /> applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, <br /> and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
