RESOLUTION NO. 673
RESOLUTION APPROVING, ADOPTING AND RATIFYING THE FINAL REPORT
OF THE CHIEF ENGINEER OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
RELATING TO "IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 - WAIOHINU," IN THE
DISTRICT OF KAU, COUNTY OF HAWAII , UNDER THE TERMS OF
RESOLUTION NO. 593, ADOPTED AUGUST 23, 1962, AUTHORIZING THE
CHIEF ENGINEER OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO CALL FOR
BIDS ON THE BASIS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, in accordance with law, the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Hawaii , by Resolution No. 593, adopted
August 23, 1962 , created, defined and established " Improvement
District No. 1 - Waiohinu," Kau, Hawaii , and further defined
the kind, extent and general details of the proposed improvements
and the materials to be used, and directed the Chief Engineer
of the Department of Public Works to prepare the final plans ,
drawings, details and specifications required to effect the
clearing of the site of said improvements, all in such form
as will readily permit and encourage genuine competition
between contractors insofar as the materials specified will
permit of such competition; and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the directions of said Board
and of said Resolution No. 593, adopted August 23, 1962, the
Chief Engineer of the Department of Public Works has submitted
to said Board his final report, including form of proposal ,
form of contract, form of bond, final details , plans and
specifications for the clearing of the site of said Improvement
District No. 1 , said final report being dated December 11 , 1962,
and being in all respects in accordance with the direction of
Resolution No. 593, adopted August 23, 1962; and

WHEREAS, the report as aforesaid and the matters therein
contained have been further and fully considered by this
Board,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
in and for the County of Hawaii :
I .
That the said final report of the Chief Engineer of the
Department of Public Works relating to " Improvement District
No. 1 - Waiohinu," Kau, Hawaii , dated December 11, 1962, and
including plans, details and specifications for the clearing
of the site of said Improvement District No 1 , form of proposal
and forms of contract and bond, be and the same is hereby
approved, adopted and ratified as presented and is now on file
with the County Clerk, and incorporated herein by reference .
II .
That the Chief Engineer of the Department of Public
Works, on behalf of said Board of Supervisors of the County of
Hawaii , and in the manner prescribed by law, be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to issue a call for tenders
upon the aforesaid work to be done within said Improvement
District No. 1, on the basis of said Chief Engineer' s final
report and proposal and bids to be submitted and bidding closed
by two (2) o'clock P.M. , January 10, 1963, being more than. two (2)
weeks after the date of the first publication of the call as
aforesaid, including Sundays and holidays.
