Your Committee on Human Services and Economic Development, to which was referred Communication
No. 567, reports as follows:
Communication No. 567 is transmitted by Council Members J. Curtis Tyler, III and Aaron S. Y. Chung,
dated November 30, 1999, submitting for Council review and consideration Resolution No. 184-99,
requesting the Legislature to fund maritime infrastructure projects to support the development of the
cruise ship industry in Hawaii.
Your Committee on Human Services and Economic Development members are in unanimous accord
with Resolution No. 184-99, and recommend that Communication No. 567 be filed and that Resolution
No. 184-99 be adopted by the full Council at its next scheduled meeting.
