Subject: Communication 605.2 Memorandum number 1 Agriculture Water and Energy
To the Chairman and all Committe Memembers
Although we do need a Puna Community Relief Shelter, we do
not feel that this proposal is acceptable for two reasons.
Placing the Relief Shelter in Leilani Estates private land is not ;.a
acceptable as Public Funds, cannot be spent in privately owned°
land.
In the event of an emergency we need to get people OUT OF
LOWER PUNA AS FAST AS WE CAN. We do not need to
amass peple in Leilani while attempting to vacate the same area.
During the time of an emergency such as a geological dissaster
or a Puna Geothermal Venture Blow Out or such we need
instead to have a working Emergency Evacuation Plan for the
Community. Put the money where it is most needed. Please.
