Subject: Opposed to cutting the LA.O. budget
To whom it may concern:
I am voicing my opposition to further cuts to the LA. 0. budget. Any organization that
functions to increase efficiency in Hawaii county and in the process become more cost
effective is desperately needed.
The inefficiency in the building department permitting process alone is the worst I have
ever encountered in 40 years of dealing with bureaucracies and costs Hawaii county huge
sums of money annually in lost tax revenue because it takes so long to get anything
approved and built. Further cuts to the LA.O. budget will only make the problem worse.
