I am here to testify in support 6billi76O.
The passing of bill 2 6 0 supports the fact that hunters
place value on our resources here on Hawai'i island
and choose to hunt responsibly for food and
tradition. Hunting is a cultural practice and has deep
roots in our community. Forming a Game Advisory
Board would allow the hunting community to work
with law makers and give hunters a voice at other
levels of government.
Balance is a key factor in managing natural resources
to ensure their abundance for future generations. A
Game Advisory Board will be a big step in the right
direction to bring hunting management practices to
the attention of county, state and federal government.
With responsible hunting management practices,
species of all kind can thrive together throughout
Hawai'i.
I support this bill, as a hunter and father of keiki who
need a Game Advisory Board to protect their interest
in the future of hunting in Hawai'i.
