I live in Honolulu on the island of O'ahu. I am a hunter and a concerned community member. I am in support of Bill 260 and Bill 261. I am against aerial animal eradication on the Big Island. As well as throughout our State of Hawai'i. I am in support of the creation of a Hunting Advisory Committee. Aerial animal eradication is not a culturally appropriate activity. It is an expensive and ineffective means of dealing with feral animal populations and results in the virtual slaughter of animals that are in many instances left to rot. Considering that hunting for people like myself and countless others is an activity that we engage in to bring food to our tables, to feed our families and that hunting is not purely just a "recreational" activity or a leisurely thing. Hunting in this regard contributes in a big way to working toward the goal Comm. 130• '1 Ref. To: 1 IC.oUM.u1 6/5/2012 Ref. I am submitting my written testimony with the hopes that it will be considered seriously and that Bill 260 and Bill 261 gets passed. Respectfully yours, Benny Manuel Benny Manuel P.O.
