Subject: Support Resolution 263-12
I urge you to pass this resolution as brought forward by Councilwoman Smart. It will be
helpful for our Congress members to get clear that we, the people of Hawaii Island wish to
clarify that corporations are NOT people which means that they are NOT entitled to the
constitutional protections of people. The CITIZENS UNITED v. FEDERAL ELECTIONS COMMISSION
(2010) needs to be reversed. Please pass this resolution.
