Dear Honorable Chairperson and Members of the Hawaii County Council:
Bank of Hawaii is Trustee for the Tsugio Ueyama Family Trust and the Jane Ueyama
Revocable Living Trust, which each holds a 50% interest in the commercial property located
at 18-1350 Volcano Road (TMK: 3-1-8-002-011).
As Trustee for the above mentioned trusts, we are opposed to the change of zoning from
the existing RS-10 Single-Family Residential 10,000 square feet to CV-10 Village
Commercial 10,000 square feet due to the possibility of environmental waste related to the
auto repair operations migrating from the subject site to the Trust property. Attached is a
previous letter dated November 2, 2011 to the County of Hawaii Department of Planning.
