Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 125,
reports as fo?lows:
Communication No. 125 is transmitted by Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated January 25, 1999,
nominate for reappointment Paul T. Matsumoto of Council District 3 to the Hawaii County
Transportation Commission.
Mr. Matsumoto is a life-time resident of Hawaii, has been retired since 1998, was co-owner of
Ainaola Cash & Carry (1986-1990), and was awelder/machinist with Yamada & Sons (1981-
1986). Mr. Matsumoto is a member of the Democratic Party. He is active with the Waiakea-uka
Kumiai and the Waiakea-uka PTA.
If approved, Mr. Matsumoto will serve a term to end December 31, 2003.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks recommends the approval of the nomination for
reappointment of Paul T. Matsumoto to the Hawaii County Transportation Commission.
