Re: Operating Budget
The State Department of Transportation Public Affairs - Safe Community Program is
providing an additional funding of$40,020 to the Hawaii County Police Department's
Data Grant program. The grant funds will be used to allow the Hawaii County Police
Department to purchase an MVAR Data Export Function Server to enable them to
transfer Motor Vehicle Accident Reports to the Hawaii Information Consortium (HIC). In
the current fiscal year's budget, $78,000 was appropriated in anticipation of this grant.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the
additional funds into the Data Grant program account and bringing the total grant
appropriation to $118,020.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Nori Ishii of the Police
Department at 961-2273.
