Re: Operating Budget
The State Department of Transportation Public Affairs - Safe Community Program is
providing an additional funding of$11,112 to the Hawaii County Police Department's
Aggressive Driving project. The grant funds will be used to allow the Hawaii County
Police Department to purchase Speed Detection Radar Units. In the current fiscal
year's budget, $37,000 was appropriated in anticipation of this grant.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the
additional funds into the Aggressive Driving project account and bringing the total grant
appropriation to $48,112.
