Effort needs to be made to protect residents living in the vicinity of PGV, current Geothermal plant. Give them opportunity to relocate, study their health problems associated with PGV emissions, establish monitors that will effectively and actually measure these emissions, create buffer zone and overall we need to put public safety as a priority. Bill 257 Amends Chapter 7, Section 7-3, Hawai'i County Code 1983 (2005 Addition as Amended), Relating to Emergency Response and Evacuation Plans for Geothermal Facilites. Evacuation plan and Emergency response needs to be established for the community living in the proximity of PGV plant. Public safety first! Bill 260 Initiates an Amendement to the Hawai'i County Charter (2010) by Amending Article VI, Chapter 9, by Creating a New Section Relating to a Game Management Advisory Commission We need to support traditional Hawai'ian culture, their practitioners and have a commission of people who have understanding of it and can act accordingly to preserve that culture, environment and practices, here specifically related to subsistence hunting and fishing. Bill 261 Amends Chapter 14, General Welfare, Hawai'i County Code 1983 (2005 Addition as Amended), Relating to Animal Eradication Aerial shootings and aerial animal control are not acceptable.
