throughout this measure including the establishment, purchase of properties, creation of
geothermal relocation and community benefits fund, public safety funding, expenditures -�
from fund, and relocation expenditures.
Aloha,
I live about one and a half miles downhill from PGV. I support this bill. One of
the things that the geothermal public safety fund should be used for is to
provide public access to measurement and monitoring data from the PGV as
well as independent monitoring stations. Currently there are three H2S and
two sound level monitor outputs that are available from PGV which give the
most recent five minute average. There is one H2S monitor to the DoH in
Leilani Estates. There are also numerous other emissions which are not taken
into consideration. I have made a request to PGV for their historical data but
am still waiting to receive it. The historical data from the DoH station is
collected under circumstances that make their usefulness dubious due to their
location.
We need to have proper monitoring and data available so that residents of the
neighboring community can track what is going on (and what is coming from)
the plant.
