Aloha Council members:
I am writing in support of resolution 276-12,which, if adopted by County Council , would
permit the County to acquire the lands currently designated for the now-disallowed O'oma
project, and which is currently for sale. This would place an important tract of
oceanfront land in public hands for perpetuity, and preclude another un-needed and
speculative development.
There are many reasons why this is in the public interest.I am sure that most council
members are aware of them. The Land Use Commission decision of several years ago contains
that body's approach, which, in my opinion, is the correct use for most undeveloped
oceanfront property.
