My name is James Curley, and I have lived at 13-3491 Luana St Pahoa since 1986. I was president of
Leilani Community Association during the late 80s and early 90s. We had to deal with these same
protestors that we have now. Why have they been quiet for 20 years?? My question to them is why,
when some of you have been bought out by the county,or sold your property, are you still living here?
Anybody living here in Leilani Estates could have sold at a premium price just a few years ago, but they
are still here. There is absolutely no evidence that anyone in this area has been inconvenienced or
harmed in any way. The one mile buffer zone is not warranted in any way, and will only ravage property
values. Mayor Kenoi was very wise in his veto of Bill#256 and I strongly encourage you to not override
it. Thank you
