Attn: Council Members, I am writing to voice my concern over Bill 256 Draft 2. I do NOT believe an override of the Mayors veto is in the best interest of the families, businesses, or property owners in Puna. I, along with my husband and 3 children have resided in Puna for 15 years. We are current homeowners in Nanawale Estates, and former residents of Leilani Estates. Both subdivisions that will be directly impacted by this bill. Neither myself, nor my husband, or our 3 children ages 14, 12, and 6, have ever experienced health problems that could be contributed to PGV. We feel we live in a safe proximity to PGV, and have absolutely no concerns for our health or safety as it relates to PGV. The proposed buffer is unwarranted, unwanted and unacceptable. Puna is a community in crisis in many ways. . .unemployment, homelessness, hunger, drugs, extremely low property values and of course increasing foreclosures. This bill will in NO WAY help Puna. It will only bring further hardships to our already struggling families. It will NOT improve the quality of life for the surrounding families. Please reconsider the override of the Mayors veto. Vote to NOT override! Sincerely, Coni and Rob Drewer Homeowners in Nanawale Est. , Residents of Puna for 15 yrs. and counting •a Sent from my iPhone CD Comm. N 110 4)3 Ref.
