Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 294-12, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 294-12, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication
No. 813, dated August 16, 2012, authorizes the acceptance of a donation of two printers from
Dell Hawai`i to the Hawai`i County Office of the Prosecutor. These printers were donated as
part of Dell Hawai`i's program to have business evaluate their equipment.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawai`i County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of money.
First Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Dale Ross appeared before Your Committee and commented
on the donation of these printers from Dell.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 294-12,
and recommends its adoption.
