Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 250,
and attached Bill No. 68, reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 68 is to amend Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 6, Section 24-288,
Schedule 36 (Freight loading zones), subsection (c) South Hilo, item (18), of the Hawaii
County Code 1983 (1995 Edition) as follows:
"(18) Kinoole Street, mauka side, beginning [at] from a point [sixty-four] one
hundred twenty-four feet Hamakua of Haili Street and extending [twenty-five] forty_
two feet in the Hamakua direction."
Communication No. 250 is from Gerald Takase, Deputy Corporation Counsel, dated
April 1, 1999, transmitting Bill No. 68, a request from the Traffic Division to relocate the
freight loading zone on Kinoole Street.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 68, and recommends that
it pass first reading.
