Your Committee on Public Works and Pazks, to which was referred Communication No. 199, and
attached Resolution No. 63-99, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 63-99 is to authorize the County, pursuant to section 23-10 of the
Hawaii County Code and article XIII, section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, to accept a
correction deed transmitting real property for road and drainage purposes from Bank of Hawaii, by its
division, Pacific Century Trust, successor trustee to Hawaiian Trust Company, Limited, as trustee
under the Trust created in the Last Will and Testament of Manuel Gomes. The correction deed is for
that certain parcel of real property located in Waiaha First, North Kona, Hawaii, specifically identified
as Tax Map Key No: (3) 7-5-18:008, consisting of approximately 42,689 square feet, or 0.980 acres.
The subject property is the site of the Waiaha Bay Sewage Pump Station.
Communication No. 199 is a letter from Corporation Counsel Richard D. Wurdeman, dated March 8,
1999, which transmits Resolution No. 63-99, a Trustee's Quitclaim Deed, and a Title Insurance Policy
to the County Council for its review and consideration. Mr. Wurdeman states in his letter that the deed
has been reviewed by the Department of Public Works and the Planning Department and is found to be
acceptable.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 63-99 and recommends its
adoption.
