Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 293,
and attached Resolution No. 84-99 reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 84-99 is to authorize the County, pursuant to section 23-]0 of the
Hawaii County Code and article XIII, section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, to accept a
dedication deed transmitting real property for road and drainage purposes from Sunset Ridge
Joint Venture, a Hawaii general partnership, developer of Sunset Ridge at Waikoloa, Phase III,
Unit 1, Increment 2. The dedication deed is for a roadway lot located in Waikoloa, Hawaii,
specifically identified as Tax Map Key No: (3) 6-8-32-046(portion).
Communication No. 293 is a letter from Corporation Counsel Richard D. Wurdeman, dated May
1Q 1999, which transmits Resolution No. 84-99 to the County Council For its review and
consideration. Mr. Wurdeman states in his letter that the deed has been reviewed by the
Department of Public Works, the Department of Water Supply, and the Planning Department and
all have recommended acceptance of the dedication deed. All subdivision improvements have
been completed.
Council Member J. Curtis Tyler voted kanalua two times on this measure.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 84-99 and
recommends its adoption.
