The amendment is as follows: <br /> From: <br /> 010.3308.42 Federal Grants—Roadblock Grant General $ 11,925 <br /> To: <br /> 010.201.5216.15 HCPD Roadblock Program General $ 11,925 <br /> The State Department of Transportation Public Affairs— Safe Community Program is providing an <br /> additional funding of$11,925 to the Hawai`i County Police Department's Roadblock program. The <br /> grant funds will be used to allow the Hawai`i County Police Department to increase the number of <br /> enforcement roadblocks during all national mobilization efforts. In the current fiscal year's budget, <br /> $144,000 was appropriated in anticipation of this grant. <br /> The bill amends the Operating Budget by appropriating the additional funds into the Roadblock <br /> program account and bringing the total grant appropriation to $155,925. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County departments must obtain the consent of <br /> the Council to enter into agreements with the Federal or State governments respecting action to be <br /> taken pursuant to any powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other <br /> assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers. <br /> There was no discussion on this measure. <br /> FC Report No. 257 <br />
