I am requesting time for the Council to discuss with the Corporation Counsel their assertion that they have a conflict of interest in these lawsuits. During the discussion the Corporation Counsel will be asked to: 1. Explain to the Council in detail their assertion that they have a conflict of interest in the above referenced lawsuit 2. If there is a conflict does that disqualify them from representing the County of Hawaii, its officers, its employees, and the Council? 3. Provide to the Council the names of the individuals in the Office of the Corporation Counsel that are in conflict and why they are in conflict. 4. Allow for discussion of any information provided by the State of Hawaii Office of Disciplinary Counsel. The Council anticipates entering executive session pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 92-5(a)(4) for the purpose of consulting with the board's attorneys on questions and issues pertaining to the board's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. Please place this item on the Council's agenda for its October 3, 2012 meeting. DY/sao (..Dram. No. ■ (O 2- Ref. To: L-0 1-4-41,(-i Ref. Date " Serving the Interests of the People of Our Island 'mime
