Hello Members of the Council,
I think it is ridiculous that our mayor thinks we already have an evacuation plan in place for the
geothermal should it have another major problem. Has anyone looked an how many roads lead
out of lower Puna? What if an albezia tree(s) fell and blocked access? Has anyone traveled on
Waa Waa recently? What about the charter school Kua o Ka La, are they prepared? This is crazy
to think we as a county are really prepared. It is almost as crazy to think that people located
within a one mile zone of the geothermal do not have electrical service, but there is talk of a
cable going from big island to Oahu to give them power. Please set up an evacuation plan.
