Angel Pilago, <br />Member <br /> <br />Brittany Smart <br /> Vice ChairMember <br /> , <br /> <br />J Yoshimoto, <br /> Member <br /> <br /> <br />HAWAI‘I COUNTY COUNCIL <br />COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> <br />NOTICE OF SITE VISIT AND PUBLIC HEARING <br />RESOLUTION 308-12 <br /> <br />DATE: October 10, 2012 (Wednesday) <br /> <br /> SITE VISIT PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />PLACE: The site visit will convene at 3:45 p.m., Pāpa‘ikou Gym <br /> at the Pāpa‘ikou Gym (address at right). 27-228 Maluna Place <br /> Attendees will proceed to the site Pāpa‘ikou, HI 96781 <br /> (directions below). <br /> <br />TIME: 3:45 p.m. 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />(Note: Please turn cell phones, pagers, and other mobile communication devices on silent <br />mode.) <br /> <br />Pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes 92-41, notice is hereby given that a Site Visit and Public Hearing <br />of the County Council’s Committee on Finance will be held to view the property and hear testimony <br />from the public regarding the following resolution: <br /> <br />Res. 308-12 (Comm. 853): <br /> Provides for the acquisition of easements in private property by <br />eminent domain, being a portion of Tax Map Key Numbers (3)2-7-004-118 and (3)2-7-027-065, <br />situated at Pāpa‘ikou, District of South Hilo, to provide a pedestrian public access easement to <br />the beach at Pāpa‘ikou. <br /> <br />The Committee will convene the site visit at 3:45 p.m. at the Pāpa‘ikou Gym. Attendees meeting at the <br />Pāpa‘ikou Gym will proceed to the site in their vehicles. The public hearing will be convened at the <br />Pāpa‘ikou Gym at 5:00 p.m. Prior to taking public testimony, a presentation will be provided by James <br />Waugh and Charlene Prickett. <br /> <br />Directions to Site Visit: <br /> <br />Heading north from Hilo on Highway 19, pass Pinky’s store. Take a right on Kopilimai Road. <br />Proceed south to the Waugh property. The road ends at the property.
