Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 452,
and attached Resolution No. 145-99, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 145-99 is for the acquisition of private property, being Tax
Map Key No. (3) 8-1-009:009, situate at Kaawaloa, South Kona, County and State of
Hawaii, for the development and construction of a bypass highway between the vicinity of
Keauhou and Captain Cook, Kona, Hawaii.
Communication No. 452 is from Corporation Counsel Richazd D. Wurdeman, dated
September 16, 1999, transmitting Resolution No. 145-99, to authorize the acquisition of
private property identified as Tax Map Key No. (3) 8-1-009:009, for the Council's review and
consideration.
Your Committee amended the last BE IT RESOLVED section by adding "the property owner
of Tax Map Key No. (3) 8-1-009:009" to the transmittal list.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 145-99, as
amended to Draft 2, and recommends that it pass first reading.
