Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 443,
and attached Bill No. 129 ,reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 129 is to amend Chapter 24, Hawaii County Code, relating to vehicles
and traffic by creating a new section and schedule to allow for 15 minute parking azeas. Part of
the amendment would include (c) South Hilo (1) Kilauea Avenue, mauka side, from a point
sixty-four feet Puna of Wilson Street to a point one hundred three feet in the Puna direction from
7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Communication No. 443 is from Council Member Dominic Yagong, dated September 15, 1999,
transmitting Bill No. 129, to create a new section and schedule requesting 15-minute pazking
areas by amending Chapter 24, of the Hawaii County Code, for the Council's review and
consideration.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 129, and recommends that it
pass first reading.
