Subject: Bill 275; Rezoning from RS-10 to CG-10 for TMK 2-2-024:005: Applicant Hawaii
Island Board of Realtors (HIBR)
Aloha Chairman Yagong and Members of the County Council,
We understand that the County Council meeting agenda for August 1, 2012 is jammed full and
that there will be significant public testimony on several important issues before the Council.
Bill 275, referenced above, appears late in the agenda and it will be very difficult to judge when
members of the HIBR Board or their representative should be present to answer any questions
that might arise when the matter finally comes up for First Reading late in the day.
Since Bill 275 passed out of the Council Planning Committee with a 9-0 vote with no significant
issues raised, we would like to ask the Council for your understanding that we do not intend to
appear in Chambers in person on August 1. If the Council has concerns or further questions on
Bill 275,we are fully ready to attend the Council's consideration of the bill at Second Reading,
or to discuss any concerns that Council members may have,personally, before the next meeting.

your next hearing on this matter.
