Letter in opposition to Bill 256 Draft 2
My name is Greg Armstrong. I have been a resident in Leilani Estates for over 4 years. Not a long time in
comparison to many other people but like many of them chose Leilani as my place to retire.
I don't have a lot of"facts"like some of the presenters have or will have but it seems to me in reading some
of the articles in the paper and talking to people that this bill is being pushed through based on negative
information from people that are NOT experts in the field. What is the big hurry to pass this bill all of a
sudden? PGV has been in existence for many years. One of the articles mentioned that PGV was not
allowed to present to the council as you didn't want to"influence the vote". Shouldn't all of the facts from
ALL sides be presented before any vote is taken? Also the Council Members should be waiting for or
searching for EXPERTS in the field to provide information to be sure the decision on which way to vote
for this bill is the correct one.
Leilani Estates is a beautiful community and for those of you who have never been there you should take a
drive. You will drive through approximately 26 miles of nicely paved streets lined with wonderful trees and
an abundance of greenery. Amazing how things grow so well in such toxic air as some would claim. Those
of you from the Kona side would especially appreciate the clean air and blue skies.
Please vote no on this bill.
