A, iPre, and I am a resident of 12 . I have lived
here for 3 years and am very concerned about the proposed amendment to the Geothermal
Relocation and Community Benefits Program.
We ask that you please listen to the residents of the community and vote against Bill 256,
Draft 2. The financial impact to homeowners will be devastating. Property values will be
negatively impacted. We have a hard time getting homeowners insurance now, and if this bill
passes, we won't be able to afford insurance at all.
There has been no proof that the geothermal plant has impacted our ' festyles or our health,
and until you can prove otherwise, we don't want to move, lose our urance, or have you
devalue our homes.
We are voters and responsible residents of the County of Hawaii, and ;gel very betrayed that
our County Council members would even consider a bill like this that has such a huge impact
on the Puna District without further studies to verify the facts.
Please vote against Bill No. 256, Draft 2.
