Aloha Council Members,
My name is Kevin Wibberley and I have been a licensed building contractor, based in
lower Puna for 33 years. For 20 years, between 1980 and 2000, I resided at 13-3411 Hookupu
St. in Leilani Estates, within 1 mile of the geothermal well. My three children who are
now 28, 25 and 22 years of age were born and raised within 1 mile of the wells. The test
well , and the original drilling of more wells, was not perfect, but I liked the area, so I
stayed there. It was my choice. My offspring are all in good heath as am I, at age 62.
During that time,The Health Department monitored my catchment tank water and the
neighborhood air quality.
I support the mayor's veto of Bill 256 draft 2.
