Your Committee on Public Works and Pazks, to which was referred Communication No. 472, and
attached Bill No. 142, reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 142 is to amend Chapter 24, Article 11, of the Hawaii County Code, to
establish vazious traffic regulations within the Mauna Loa Estates Subdivision (private).
Communication No. 472 is from Chief Engineer Robert K. Yanabu, dated September 28, 1999,
transmitting Bill No. 142 for the Council's review and consideration. Mr. Yanabu informs Your
Committee of the recommendations made by the Mauna Loa Estates Road Maintenance
Incorporated, of the proposed traffic regulations regazding speed limits, through streets clazification,
and stop intersections.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 142, and recommends that it
pass first reading.
