Dear Counsel Members;
My name is Brad Adams, I live in Alaska and am a licensed Master Guide. I would like to
state that I am in favor of Bill 260. I took a trip to Hawaii 4 years ago and one to the main
reason I chose Hawaii was so that I could include hunting and wildlife viewing with my warm
weather vacation. As an Alaskan, I do like to enjoy warm sun, and fun beaches from time to
time, but also as a hunter and outdoorsman I also enjoy those activities also. It would be a
shame to see basically all of the wildlife that has been living on the Island for much longer
than most all of the humans, to be eradicated!
In Alaska our wildlife is a huge business for us, and many guides make a living from it,
not to mention the benefits that the State receives from resident and nonresident hunters
purchasing licenses, tags, and the dollars that they spend in the state while here. It seems
to me that you have a valuable resource there that should be managed properly, instead of
destroyed!!!
Thank you for taking the time to read this concern of mine, and allowing me the
opportunity to state my feelings on this matter. I wanted to make sure that this was read
before the June 19th meeting.
