The loud noise is intolerable for people living within miles of geothermal drilling. Furthermore,I believe this Bill is simply a beginning, A much larger shift completely away from Geothermal is necessary here in Puna. A HALT of ALL GEOTHERMAL DRILLING AND DEVELOPMENT would be more appropriate. Many residents of the greater Pahoa area are experiencing serious medical symptoms from the existing Geothermal Plant& Well. Such Development should NOT BE HAPPENING AT ALL even as close as 10 miles to populated neighborhoods. An EIS has never been completed or analyzed dealing with the specific impacts of Geothermal Toxins on the people,plants, air,water& seismic patterns specific to Geothermal here in Puna's Lava Zones 1 &2. An in-depth Medical Study,with data collected&analyzed by a knoledgable third party with no ties to or funding from HEI or PGT is needed. Since it is quite clear from simple neighborly conversation that the existing Geothermal Plant has proven too dangerous and too toxic to be near humans and animals. I remind you of your charge as "elected public servants". I also remind you that VOTERS ARE WATCHING YOUR ACTIONS ON THIS ISSUE CAREFULLY&YOUR CONTINUED PUBLIC SERVICE MAY VERY WELL DEPEND ON A RESPONSE THAT REPRESENTS HAWAII RESIDENTS & NOT CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT. Please keep me informed of any opportunity to give additional testimony to help with this bill,so essential to the health and well being of my Community.
