Dear Council Members:
I support the Bill 292 introduced by Chair Dominic Yagong which limits
geothermal drilling to daytime hours. I have visited the neighborhood adjacent to
the plant while drilling was going on, and not only was the noise audibly loud and
disturbing, but the ground conducts low frequency vibrations that are more felt
than heard and would be difficult to sleep thru.
Limiting the noise and disruption is a positive step. No drilling or geothermal
should be happening in populated neighborhoods. It is too dangerous and toxic
to be near humans, livestock, and wildlife.
