Re: Opposition to, Hawaii County Council Resolution No. 303-12
Aloha Chairman Yagong,Vice-Chair Pilago, and Hawaii County Council Members:
My name is Glenn Ida representing the current and retired members of the Plumbers and Fitters, Local
675.
Local 675 is in opposition to Resolution No. 303-12.
The Public Land Development Corporation is the result of having gone through the rigorous legislative
process before becoming Act 55. We feel that the public input process should be completed and the
PLDC be allowed to evaluate the data from the hours of testimony collected,and include viable public
input into their Strategic Plan and Administrative Rules.
The PLDC will be having their next Board Meeting on October 11, 2012. The agenda will include the
request to approve the (1) PLDC Strategic Plan and (2) draft PLDC Administrative. Upon approval,the
draft rules will go out for more public hearings.
Local 675, strongly encourages working with the PLDC and Public input is essential for success.We
believe that positive economic impacts for the people and State of Hawaii can result from public
projects.
Therefore, Local 675 opposes Resolution 303-12.
