6 L� 7i�. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -I• .N' '!i•- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ..:.......!"V..-- <br /> BILL NO. 330 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 <br /> (2005 EDITION,AS AMENDED), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to reduce the speed limit in a <br /> residential area, wherein the road is narrow and winding and there are little or no shoulders on <br /> either side of the road, thereby promoting public safety. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-255, schedule 3 <br /> (25 mile per hour limit), paragraph(c), South Hilo, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 <br /> Edition, as amended), is amended by adding the following, to be appropriately numbered and to <br /> read as follows: <br /> "( ) Waianuenue Avenue, from Waiau Street to its terminus at the southern <br /> terminus of Bridge 25-2." <br /> SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring <br /> need not be included. <br /> SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person <br /> or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications <br /> of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to <br /> this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br /> SECTION 5.
