Subject: Transmitting Bill No. 266, Draft 4; An Ordinance Amending Chapter 25 (Zoning
Code) of the Hawaii County Code (2005 Edition, as Amended)—Relating to
Agricultural Tourism
Please find attached Bill No. 266, Draft 4. Bill No. 266, Draft 3, was amended by the contents of
Communication No. 745.21 and Communication No. 745.22 (as amended), as duly approved by
the Council during its meeting on October 17, 2012.
The Council moved to "divide the question" for the motion to amend with Communication No.
745.22. The successful motion to "divide the question" provided that only certain amendments
contained in Communication No. 745.22 were approved by the Council.
Communication No. 745.22 (as amended) and Communication No. 745.21 both added
paragraphs to Section 25-4-15, subsection (d). The numbering of paragraphs in Section 25-4-15,
subsection (d), has been revised accordingly.
Pursuant to Council Rule No. 24(le), Bill No. 266, Draft 4, has been held over for second and
final reading. Please place Bill No. 266, Draft 4, on the November 9, 2012, Council agenda for
second and final reading.
