Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 539,
and attached Bill No. 162, reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 162 is to designate Pualani Street as a through street from Lako Street
to Walua Road.
Communication No. 539 is from Chief Engineer Robert K. Yanabu, dated October 26, 1999,
transmitting Bill No. 162 for the Council's review and consideration. Mr. Yanabu states that
the Hawaii Police Department requested that the stop signs along Pualani Street at Wikolia
Street be placed on Wikolia Street. Mr. Yanabu states that the Department of Public Works
has investigated this request, and concurs with the Police Department.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 162, and recommends
that it pass first reading.
