Comm. 903: ACCEPTS THE DONATION OF LOTS 59-A-2 AND 59-A-3 SITUATED AT (Res. 321-12) KALOPA, DISTRICT OF HAMAKUA, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII, BEING TAX MAP KEY: (3)4-4-008:142 (POR.), FROM ALFRED F. NIBECKER, JR. AND SANDRA J. NIBECKER, AS CO-TRUSTEES UNDER THAT CERTAIN NIBECKER FAMILY TRUST,DATED MARCH 14, 2000 The Co-trustees wish to donate the above-mentioned parcels, consisting of approximately 295 square feet and 198 square feet, respectively, to the County of Hawai`i. The purpose of the donation is to remedy the encroachment of the County paved road onto their parcel for public purpose. The donation has met with the approval of the departments of Planning, Real Property Tax, Public Works, Water Supply, and Environmental Management. Intr. by: Ms. Ford (B/R) Serving the Interests of the People of Our Island Hawai`i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer FC-46 Page 2 November 20, 2012 Comm. 904: AUTHORIZES THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN (Res. 322-12) AGREEMENT WITH HAWAI‘I ISLAND PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, TO IMPLEMENT THE HAWAI‘I TEEN OUTREACH PROGRAM (HITOP) IN HAWAI‘I COUNTY The goal of HITOP is to develop the positive potential of teens with the intended result of less risk-taking behaviors such as violence, school failure and teen pregnancy. Intr. by: Ms. Ford (B/R) Comm. 905: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 12-86, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET (Bill 332) FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2013 Increases revenues of $240,328 in the State Grants - Area Plan on Aging account; and appropriates same to the Office of Aging’s Area Plan on Aging account. These funds, from the State of Hawai‘i Department of Health’s Executive Office of Aging, will be used to continue implementation of the Aging Disability Resource Center. Intr. by: Ms. Ford (B/R) Comm. 909: FUND BALANCE NOTIFICATION FOR JUNE 30, 2012 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated October 15, 2012, notifying the Council that a report on the fund balance for fiscal year ending June 30, 2012, will not be th submitted by the October 15 deadline, pursuant to Hawai‘i County Code Section 2-12.4(e); and Comm. 909.1: FUND BALANCE NOTIFICATION FOR JUNE 30, 2012 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated November 7, 2012, transmitting the June 30, 2012 fund balance report, pursuant to Hawai‘i County Code Section 2-12.4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Comm. 868.2: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 12-87, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO PUBLIC (Bill 313) IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR (Draft 2) JULY 1, 2012 TO JUNE 30, 2013 Adds the Public Works, Multi-Purpose Event Center project for $500,000 to the Capital Budget. Funds shall be provided from the General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund - Fund Balance and/or Other Sources ($500,000). The proposed large capacity multi-purpose center is intended to hold up to 10,000 spectators, and may be used by for University of Hawai‘i and local high school events, professional and cultural performances for residents and tourists, and to hold conventions or other large scale functions.
