Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 321,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 321, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. W. Lee via Communication
No. 878, dated September 26, 2012, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-284
of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), relating to Parking.
Bill No. 321 specifically amends Schedule 32 (two hour parking areas), subsection (c), South
Hilo, by adding:
"Ponahawai Street, southeast side, from a point one hundred seventy-six feet northeast of
Kilauea Avenue and extending one hundred two feet in the northeasterly direction."
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 321, and recommends its passage on first reading.
