Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 322,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 322, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. W. Lee via Communication
No. 879, dated September 26, 2012, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-284.1
of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), relating to Parking.
Bill No. 322 specifically amends Schedule 32.1 (8 hour parking areas), subsection (c), South
Hilo, by revising the existing item (9) to read:
"Ponahawai Street, Puna southeast side, from a point three hundred five feet northeast of Kilauea
Avenue and extending two hundred seventy feet in the northeasterly direction Kane' ameh'a
Avenue to Kilau a Avenue."
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 322, and recommends its passage on first reading.
