RESOLUTION NO. 324 12
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL'S SINCERE
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL CHAIR DOMINIC YAGONG, FOR HIS YEARS OF
SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, Dominic Yagong has represented Hamakua, North Hilo, and portions of
South Hilo (Hakalau, Honomu, Pepe`ekeo, Papa`ikou, Kaiwiki) from December of 1996 thru
2002 and again from December 2006 thru 2012; and
WHEREAS, during these past six years, Council Chair Dominic Yagong has
participated on all Standing Committees and served as the Chair of the County Council (2010-
2012), Vice Chair of the Committee on Finance (2010-12), Chair of the Committee on Finance
(2006-June, 2010), Chair of the Committee on Public Safety and Parks and Recreation (June
2008- 2010) and Vice Chair of the Committee on Environmental Management(2008-2010),
Vice Chair the of Committee on Planning (2006-2008), Vice Chair of the Committee Public
Works and Intergovernmental Relations (2006-2008); and
WHEREAS, Council Chair Dominic Yagong has consistently and unwaveringly
demonstrated personal dedication, leadership, integrity, commitment to excellence, and
outstanding public service to his constituents and to the general public throughout the County of
Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, Council Chair Dominic Yagong will complete his term of office at Noon on
Monday, December 3, 2012, having compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for all
Council meetings held during his years in office; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it
hereby extends its sincere gratitude to Council Chair Dominic Yagong for his years of service,
and offers its best wishes for his continued health, success, and prosperity.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawai`i transmit a true
copy of this resolution to Council Chair Dominic Yagong.
