RESOLUTION NO. 325 12
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL'S SINCERE
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER FRED BLAS, FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE
TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, Fred Blas has represented Puna Makai (Hawaiian Paradise Park, Ainaloa,
Pahoa Village, Hawaiian Beaches & Shores, Nanawale, Leilani, Kapoho, Kalapana, `Opihikao,
Kahena, Pohoiki) from December of 2010 thru 2012; and
WHEREAS, during these past two years, Council Member Fred Blas has participated on
all Standing Committees and served as the Chair of the Committee on Public Works and Parks
and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Fred Blas has consistently and unwaveringly
demonstrated personal dedication, leadership, integrity, commitment to excellence, and
outstanding public service to his constituents and to the general public throughout the County of
Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Fred Blas will complete his term of office at Noon on
Monday, December 3, 2012, having compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for all
Council meetings held during his years in office; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it
hereby extends its sincere gratitude to Council Member Fred Blas for his years of service, and
offers its best wishes for his continued health, success, and prosperity.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawai`i transmit a true
copy of this resolution to Council Member Fred Blas.
