RESOLUTION NO. 326 12
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL'S SINCERE
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER PETE HOFFMANN, FOR HIS YEARS OF
SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, Pete Hoffmann has represented Council District 9, North and South Kohala
(Waikoloa, Waimea, Hawi, Hala`ula) from December of 2004 thru 2012; and
WHEREAS, during these past eight years, Council Member Pete Hoffmann has
participated on all Standing Committees and served as the Chair of the Committee on Planning
(2004-2006), Chairman of the County Council (2006-2008), Alternate Representative to
Hawai`i State Association of Counties (2006-2008), Vice Chair of the County Council (2008-
2009 and 2010-2011), Vice Chair of the Committee on Food and Energy Sustainability, Chair of
the Committee on Planning (2010-2012), Vice Chair of the Committee on Agricultural, Water
and Energy Sustainability (2010-2012), and Chairman of the Committee on Housing (2004-
2012); and
WHEREAS, Council Member Pete Hoffmann has consistently and unwaveringly
demonstrated personal dedication, leadership, integrity, commitment to excellence, and
outstanding public service to his constituents and to the general public throughout the County of
Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Pete Hoffmann will complete his term of office at Noon
on Monday, December 3, 2012, having compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for
all Council meetings held during his years in office; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it
hereby extends its sincere gratitude to Council Member Pete Hoffmann for his years of service,
and offers its best wishes for his continued health, success, and prosperity.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawai`i transmit a true
copy of this resolution to Council Member Pete Hoffmann.
