RESOLUTION NO. 327 12
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL'S SINCERE
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER DONALD IKEDA, FOR HIS YEARS OF
SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, Donald Ikeda has represented South Hilo (`Amauulu, Pu`ue`o, portions of
Downtown Hilo, Lanakila, Waianuenue, Kaumana, Ainako, Pi`ihonua, portions of Waiakea
Homesteads) from December of 2004 thru 2012; and
WHEREAS, during these past eight years, Council Member Donald Ikeda has
participated on all Standing Committees and served as the Chair of the Committee on Public
Works (2004-2006), Chair of the Committee on Planning (2008-2010), and Vice Chair of the
Committee on Finance (2008-2010); and
WHEREAS, Council Member Donald Ikeda has consistently and unwaveringly
demonstrated personal dedication, leadership, integrity, commitment to excellence, and
outstanding public service to his constituents and to the general public throughout the County of
Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Donald Ikeda will complete his term of office at Noon on
Monday, December 3, 2012, having compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for all
Council meetings held during his years in office; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it
hereby extends its sincere gratitude to Council Member Donald Ikeda for his years of service,
and offers its best wishes for his continued health, success, and prosperity.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawai`i transmit a true
copy of this resolution to Council Member Donald Ikeda.
